Bay Islands
As
the smaller of the three Bay Islands, Utila is still the least discovered offering world class diving and a unique
Caribbean charm. Laguna Beach Resort opened its doors to its first guest in July of 1995.
Waterfront
bungalows provide private decks, a spacious bath, hot water, ceiling fans and air conditioning. Laguna Beach Resort
is self-sufficient with its own 110 volt current and sea recovery system (reverse osmosis unit) providing potable
water throughout the resort.
Rustically elegant by design, natural wood bungalows are nestled along the edge of a palm-fringed peninsula dividing
a tranquil mangrove lagoon and the warm Caribbean Sea.

The fringing reef system hosts the majority of all Caribbean hard and soft coral species, and is particularly abundant
in colorful sponges and delicate tunicates. Reef inhabitants include schooling snapper, grouper, rays, conch, lobster
and abundant tropicals.
The outer banks are frequented by wild dolphins and more than an occasional whale shark.
