Turneffe Flats is located 30 miles off the coast of Belize on the picturesque Turneffe Atoll, the largest and most biologically-diverse coral atoll in the Western Hemisphere. Now protected as Belize’s newest and largest Marine Reserve, Turneffe Atoll is remote and beautiful, yet easily accessible via Turneffe Flats’ 50-ft transfer boat.
Diving Overview at Turneffe:
With over 60 logged dive sites on the Atoll, diversity and flexibility describe Turneffe Flats diving. A typical day includes two dives in the morning and a third dive in the afternoon. Uncrowded diving is assured at Turneffe Flats as we typically limit groups to 6 – 10 divers per week. Weather permitting, your week will include a trip to Lighthouse Reef where you will dive the famous Blue Hole and Half Moon Caye Wall ($40 per person entrance fee not included). A night dive is also included during the week!
Food and Other Amenities: Three delicious meals per day feature a mixture of Belizean and International cuisine including seafood, beef, and pork dishes. Served family style in the main lodge, meals offer options for different palates and always include fresh fruits, freshly-baked breads and pastries. A comfortable lounging area and well-stocked bar in the main lodge provide a focal point for evening gatherings.
Sightseeing, superb snorkeling and fly fishing. We do offer combination Scuba diving and fishing packages for those with both passions. In addition, we offer an Atoll Adventure Package, which is a marine eco-adventure package with fully-guided daily activities such as snorkeling, sightseeing or bird watching. This package is fantastic for non-diving companions.
